A Lithuus is an ancient Roman staff that was used in religious rituals. It is used to mark the sacred space in the air. If certain birds flew through the marked space, this was seen as a favorable or unfavorable omen. The Lithuus lamp fits beautifully into sacred spaces, on an altar, a place of repentance, and marks this sacred space.

When it gets dark, and you turn the lamp on, a unique atmosphere is created. The pattern in the light fills the room with a playful and serene atmosphere. The Lamp is handcrafted in Vietnam, with care for humans, nature and community. Designer Christoff has been fascinated by the possibilities of bamboo for years. After the harvest, the stems are first scraped and then painted and then the design is brought by hand in the bamboo. Bamboo is a very fast growing grass. Since it consists of a single fiber, the lamp is very robust. Each lamp and tealight holder are unique because every tree of bamboo is unique. Therefore, the thickness of every lamp is slightly different. A unique product, made and spread with loving hands!
